Year 3
Moving from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 is a big step, and the expectations for children increase both in terms of work and maturity.
Increased independence is encouraged in the approach to our learning, with pupils being challenged to take a more proactive role in the achievement of their academic goals.
Year 4
Year 4 continues to have a focus on promoting independence, reading, writing and numeracy skills which enables our pupils to make excellent progress.
Detailed written and oral feedback assist in setting clear targets for improvement and provide opportunities for students to take ownership of their learning.
Year 5
By Year 5 the children are accomplished peer markers and can self-evaluate, making constructive suggestions for improvement. They value, and are respectful, of the opinions of others.
Throughout Key Stage 2, we provide an emphasis on high-quality science teaching. Students also learn Mandarin and French from specialist language teachers and each student learns an instrument within their music lessons.
