Queen Ethelburga’s hosts and participates in a range of outreach events and partnerships with local schools, charities and community groups, as well as international conservation and humanitarian projects.
The QE Connect outreach programme offers opportunities to travel overseas, volunteer with local groups and raise money through charitable events. Taking part allows you to connect with students from neighbouring schools, meet members of local community groups and build friendships with people around the world.

The ProgrammeQE Connect supports the holistic development of all students involved, whether participating in activities or volunteering to organise and lead them. Students from Year 1 to Year 13 can take part in activities free of charge. Please see the brochure for details of the free activities. Events

The QE Connect Programme brochure provides an overview of activities and events held throughout the previous year. Select the button in the bottom-right corner to view the brochure in full-screen mode. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Bookings and pre-event information will be confirmed by the QE Connect Team. Primary schools are welcome to book small groups, full classes or entire year groups, unless specific numbers or team requirements are stated on an event page. Local Outreach
Alongside the events organised by Queen Ethelburga’s, there are many opportunities to work with local organisations and community groups.
For example, Queen Ethelburga’s regularly hosts Inclusive Sports Panathlon events in partnership with North Yorkshire Inclusive Sports, afternoon teas with local residents, and a variety of on-site events that welcome older residents and community groups, including theatre productions.
