A happy childhood begins in the great outdoors and at Chapter House the Forest School is the perfect playground for children to spend their afternoons searching for minibeasts, climbing trees, making dens and hiding from the Gruffalo.

Chapter House offers a programme dedicated to immersing and supporting children who are learning to speak English as an additional language. Further up in the school, students can apply for IELTS and take examinations in their native language.
Key Stage One and Key Stage Two have topic lessons that cover humanities, science, art and technology. Lessons are brought to life through amazing trips, engaging workshops and lessons inside and outside of the classroom.
Within our curriculum, Chapter House teaches two additional languages, Mandarin and Spanish. Timetabled lessons for Years 1-5 are taught by native speakers.

We understand that Key Stage 4 and 5 are an important stage in your child’s life, and you will want to be a part of it. Both QE College and QE Faculty host regular parent events, online parents' evenings and send termly reports and newsletters.

You are always welcome to chat to teachers over the phone or via email, or to visit us in person at the school. For international parents we have Chinese, Thai and Russian speaking Liaison Officers available to speak to.
Both senior schools host Parents' Evenings with form tutors and subject teachers. As we have a large boarding community, all Parents’ Evenings are online so every parent can attend, wherever they are in the world.
In addition, you will receive three termly assessment statements which include current and predicted grades and a full written report.
At the end of each term, the Heads of College and Faculty send a newsletter celebrating student successes and updating parents on what has been happening at school. Look out for invitations to events at school and key dates for your calendar.
Every year, you are invited to join the Collegiate for Bonfire Night, Speech Day or to watch Team QE compete in sports matches on the school fields. The senior schools also have Transition Evenings and Career Days where you can discuss your child’s future plans.
