Autumn Season 2025: Week Two - Q-Esports Still Undefeated!
Still undefeated so far in the new season across every competition! Of course, it’s not just about results, but what a brilliant confidence booster this is for these fantastic students—and what a cracking way to showcase ourselves by starting the season with such convincing performances.
The challenge, of course, is not how long they can keep winning, but how they respond when a loss eventually comes. Still, seeing some of the new bonds and friendships being forged in the fires of victory is something truly special.
This makes it the most successful start ever in Q-Esports history - in every previous season, we’d lost at least one game by now. Not that it matters, of course - but now that esports is exploding in popularity around the country, it’s nice to remind everyone that there’s a reason we’re considered one of the best in the UK, and why so many are eager to get involved in this fantastic activity.
Valorant B: 13–1 win over King Edward VI College
We’re getting to a point now where certain fixtures and teams are starting to feel like proper grudge matches. KE6V are a very good team who actually defeated our own Valorant A team last year. Their coach and I were chatting before the game about how we both had completely new sets of players and how we were looking forward to seeing how the rivalry might pick back up.
Well, my new set was just a little more ready! Fantastic work all around, and I’m delighted that Valorant B remain undefeated!
Rocket League: 4–0 win over Belfast Met

Esports matches are fascinating to watch. When you understand a game to a certain level, you can identify the difference between beginner, good, and great. Beyond that, the levels become harder to distinguish. Belfast Met are a pretty good side; they’ve featured in the quarter, and semi-finals of esports competitions over the past couple of years - but they just weren’t on our level this time. Our fantastic team were scoring for fun and keeping things tight at the back. I’m looking forward to seeing how the team progresses as the season continues. |
