On Friday, Queen Ethelburga’s was delighted to welcome back alumna Jess Greenwood, who is currently completing a year-long placement at Disney as part of her studies at the University of Liverpool. Jess captivated the audience as she shared her incredible story of being selected from over 2,500 applicants to secure her dream role. She described the application process, emphasising the importance of persistence, and explained how she leveraged her creative background to stand out from the crowd. During her talk, Jess encouraged students to embrace creativity and take subjects that allow them to think differently. She explained how these skills not only set her apart academically but also gave her the confidence to present herself effectively during interviews. Jess also spoke about the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping strong Sixth Form careers. From leadership opportunities to community projects, she highlighted how experiences outside the classroom can make a CV truly shine. |
