Sixth form students are housed in Court Apartments which is a  large quadrangle building set over three floors with a magnificent glass roofed  Atrium at its centre , this is where students can both study and socialise , it is the heart of the Sixth Form houses. On the first and second floors  there are large  mezzanines which open out onto the Atrium , these  are equipped with table tennis,  air hockey, karaoke and various games  making  this is a perfect space for relaxing  and socialising with friends at the  weekend.

Each apartment can accommodate up to three students  and  they are furnished to a high specification with a  desk/study area for each student ,a large  flat screen TV ,a very  well-appointed kitchen area and a separate shower room and toilet.

As well as having washing machines, microwaves and dishwashers in the individual accommodation, Court Apartments  also offers common rooms with cooking and laundry facilities, Large flat screen TV’s and play stations . In the top floor of the building we have four large study suites with printing and IT facilities  which provide a quiet space for prep and study.

Do you have a favourite hobby? I’m an amateur makeup artist with a fondness for gaming on the PlayStation.

Where is the best place you have visited? I love travelling, most recently I’ve travelled America and climbed to the top of the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles (beautiful views!) and kayaked on Lake Conway in Arkansas.

What is your happiest memory from your time at Queen Ethelburga’s? Black Tie with Sixth Form Students and staff – proving that hard work does pay off!

What was your favourite subject at school? Did have any, if I had to choose one than I would say I did enjoy PE the most as it was the least boring 😊

Mr T Popovics – House Tutor

Where were you born? I was born in, Uzshorod, a beautiful city in Transcarpathian Region, Ukraine. Now I live in Hungary.

What was your favourite subject at school? My favourite subject was Geometry.

Do you have a favourite hobby?In my free time I love travelling, reading and jogging.

Where is the best place you have visited? My favourite place I have ever visited is the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.

What is your happiest memory from your time at Queen Ethelburga’s?  I am happy to be a part of this great community, to work with students from all over the world and work together with such enthusiastic and helpful colleagues.  I really like the fact that so many students are keen on different kinds of sport and they are always happy and ready to play table tennis in House or another game in the Sports Hall.

What is your happiest memory from your time at Queen Ethelburga’s? In the year 10 boarding we had a “boxing day ”preparing for pack up where everybody laughed for days….. and a “ winter get together” involving all faith and nationalities , making cakes all day and decorating our common room.
