Welcome to Watson House
Welcome to Watson House. We are part of the Year 7 to 11 vertical boarding here at Queen Ethelburga’s, located within Abbey Chambers. We are home to 100 students, each unique and wonderfully adding to the community of Watson House.
Due to our unique boarding house, students can connect with others from different year groups which encourages older students to role model positive behaviours to our younger students and develop mentorship relationships. It also provides an avenue for peer to peer learning to happen organically, as well as via our organised activities.
Our boarding house has space for the students to rest, relax, study, gain new skills and connect with one another. We take pride in creating an atmosphere for students that promotes community, we have mentor groups that meet regularly and activities throughout the week for the students to participate in.
Watson House aims to encourage all students to the achieve the Hill Standard, which is ‘To be the best that I can with the gifts that I have’.
