Anti-bullying Council

The Anti-bullying Council was formed to increase the student voice and the opportunity for students to positively contribute to the school community.
This process commenced when a cohort of students trained as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors through The Diana Award. This training gave them skills, practical ideas, knowledge and confidence to effectively carry out their role.
The Anti-Bullying Council work closely with the Pastoral Team and have termly meetings to consider any issues the students feel need to be addressed. They discuss points within the Collegiate’s anti-bullying policy and work to actively promote an anti-bullying community.

ABC Members

Sophia - Year 11

Hello, my name is Sophia and I am a member of the Anti-bullying Council.  I applied to become an Anti-bullying Ambassador as I am extremely passionate about preventing bulling and making people’s lives better by offering an avenue of support, which they can take advantage of by coming to me for help.  In my time as an Anti-bullying Ambassador, my main aim would be to raise awareness about the types of bullying and to encourage people to open up more about their experiences so I can help them.

Lisa - Year 11

Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m 15. For a while now, I’ve been an Anti-bullying Ambassador. I applied for this position when I was in Year 9 when we went to get professional training through the Diana Award. Over the years, I’ve learnt that bullying can happen to anyone, anywhere, so the reason I’m an Anti-bullying Ambassador is because I want to do anything I can to eliminate bullying at QE. This year the Anti-bullying Awareness Week was a huge success. We would love to raise awareness of all issues related to bullying and help anyone who needs our support.

Lillie-Beth - Year 11

Hi, I’m Lillie-Beth and I am part of the Anti-bullying Council. I applied to be on the Anti-bullying Council as it lets me educate the school about what bullying is and where to get help. Being part of the Anti-bullying Council allows me to interact with the younger years as well as my peers to teach them about bullying and how to prevent it or get help if they need it. Being part of the council also involves meeting new people in the school which develops my confidence and sometimes involves speaking in assemblies which is a good skill to gain from this role.
