The shortlist has been announced for the 21/22 QE Foundation Essay Competition. The Foundation Essay is one of QE’s long-standing traditions, launched in 1920. Over the past 100 years it has provided students with the opportunity for academic creativity and curiosity, tested self-motivation and assessed traditional academic skills outside of the confines of the classroom.
In its 101st year, in addition to the traditional KS5 competition a KS4 competition was launched. This year saw the highest number of entries we have ever had, from both College and Faculty.
The shortlist is as follows:
Max Z (not pictured)
Shen Jie Y
The final three will be announced later this week and are now decided by the Head Judges, Jackie Hales (KS5) and Steven Jandrell (KS4).
A huge congratulations to all our finalists! Look out for our winners announcement coming soon!
