Head Chef Nominated a Regional Finalist in National School Chef of the Year Competition

Our Head Chef, James Brown, has been selected as a Regional Finalist in the Lead Association for Catering in Education (LACA) School Chef of the Year competition.

On 16th January at Doncaster College, he will join six other finalists to complete a main meal and dessert in just 90 minutes at no more than £1.30 per head. Catering for four 11-year-old children, James plans to cook pork bao buns and an Asian-inspired salad followed by lime, lemon and cucumber cheesecake with blackberry compote.

James has opted to cook bao buns using pork from Easingwold pigs with stir fried celery and spinach sesame salad and a lime and chilli dip.
