Success in the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge for QE’s Year 8 Students

As part of their mathematics lessons and enrichment, students in Year 8 recently took part in the UKMT Junior Mathematics Challenge.  This is a national competition that is designed to promote a love of problem solving and is one which we enter our students into annually at the appropriate level for their age. 

QE Cricketer selected to play for Durham 2nd XI

Congratulations to QE Cricketer Harry C who was been selected to play for Durham 2nd XI against Yorkshire 2nd XI at Headingley this week. This is a fantastic achievement and testimony to his hard work. Well done Harry! 

Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate Connects with Nature for Mental Health Awareness Week

Students from Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate (QE) have been celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week by connecting with nature around their beautiful campus nestled in the North Yorkshire countryside. Mental Health Awareness Week is being hosted by the Mental Health Foundation who chose the theme of nature for this year’s awareness week.

QE honours the Captain Tom 100 Challenge  

In honour of Sir Captain Tom Moore on what would have been his 101st first birthday, the May Bank Holiday weekend saw people up and down the country taking part in their own Captain Tom 100 challenge – and the boarding students at QE were no exception.
