Enrichment

Alongside academic success, we aim to provide a holistic education which supports students to develop their knowledge, skills and experience beyond the classroom.

We have a dedicated Enrichment Leadership Team, who ensure that all our students can benefit from the extensive programme of opportunities we provide. Students discuss participation alongside their academic progress with their tutors, to ensure that they are individually tailored to as they progress through each year at QE.

Students can choose from over 100 Enrichment Activities from the following categories to encourage a breadth of experiences: Community, Creativity, Culture, Health & Exercise and Leadership. We also work with students and staff to make sure that the time-tabling of activities enables them to make the most of the opportunities on offer and get maximum use out of our superb facilities.

A fulfilling outreach programme enables our students to contribute positively to the lives of others within our local community. Senior students regularly assist with our ‘Inspire’ PE & Drama Outreach programme at local primary schools, leading activities with students in Years 1-6, whilst others provide valuable mentoring and support to students with severe learning needs at a local secondary school.

Charity Gala dinners and tea parties held for local elderly residents, are hosted by our students, who also deliver musical performances, serve meals and refreshments, and share stories and memories with the residents.
