Exam Results at QE College
Queen Ethelburga’s College is the top-performing independent school in Yorkshire and ranks highly for academic achievement for GCSE and A Level grades across the UK.
"All of our staff here at QE are incredibly proud of the results we have seen from our GCSE and A Level students. This goes far beyond the results themselves; we are proud of every individual for achieving their own goals and aspirations.
Success for our students is more than teaching them to do well at exams – it encompasses embodying the values they will need beyond their time with us, including resilience, confidence and respect. We are thrilled to share in the delight of so many achieving what they had hoped for.”
Miss Blakeley, Head of QE College

Georgia's Story
Georgia's journey with us began nearly 12 years ago in Year 2, and now, she’s off to study medicine at Oxford University after achieving A*A*AA in her A Levels!
Georgia’s dedication, hard work, and passion for medicine have led her to this incredible opportunity. From shadowing anaesthetists at Leeds General Infirmary to working in the neurosurgery department, her experiences have been invaluable. She also excelled in her EPQ on neurology, earning top marks and high praise from the examination board.
Beyond academics, Georgia has been a fantastic Deputy Head Girl and a talented sportsperson, representing both her county and school in hockey. We wish her the best of luck at Oxford!
Seb's Story
Meet Seb, our exceptional Head Boy, who began his journey with us in Year 9. From day one, Seb has embodied the core values of QE, becoming a positive influence and later an outstanding Head Boy.
His natural talent for rugby was evident early on, leading him to Captain the first XV Rugby team and the Yorkshire Academy on numerous occasions, even catching the eye of elite teams. But Seb’s achievements go beyond the rugby field.
He’s managed to balance an intensive rugby schedule with his academics, securing two A's and a Distinction! He’s now heading to Loughborough University to continue his journey. We couldn't be prouder of Seb and all he has accomplished!
Moses' Story
We’re incredibly proud to celebrate Moses, a truly inspiring student who has been a positive and enthusiastic influence at QE College since joining us in Year 9.
From the start, Moses demonstrated an exceptional gift for mathematics, and his dedication has made him one of the most motivated students we’ve ever had. Not one to shy away from a challenge, Moses excelled not only in maths but also in Computer Science, earning a distinction in the national Oxford University Bebras Challenge and advancing to the top 10% in the Oxford University Computing Challenge.
But Moses' achievements go beyond the classroom. He has been an active participant in senior hockey, completed the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, contributed to the QE Motorsport Team, and served as a Senior Prefect and Science Ambassador. He also impressively taught himself to speak Japanese and Indonesian!
As Moses embarks on his next adventure, studying Data Science at the London School of Economics and Political Science with A*AB grades, we wish him all the success in the world.
