Musical-in-a-Week Workshops

Our Musical-in-a-Week Workshops are an exciting new addition to our Summer Camps Programme for 2021. Working with industry professionals, students can take on the challenge of learning and performing some well-known musicals in just one week.

The workshops will take place in The King's Theatre, the hub of Performing Arts at Queen Ethelburga's Collegiate in Thorpe Underwood. This is a full scale professional theatre venue, and these workshops will give students with a passion for Performing Arts an opportunity to take to the stage this summer.

For students with a love of performing or for those who just want to have some fun this summer, our Musical-in-a-Week Workshops offer a unique opportunity to hone their skills in Performing Arts.

Students will develop their knowledge, understanding and application in:
• Musical Theatre
• Script Reading
• Public Speaking
• Movement
• Singing
• Vocal Technique
• Comedy
• Stage Combat
• Character development

Every student taking part will have a scripted role, building on their fundamental communications skills. They will gain new skills daily, gaining confidence and have the chance to work with industry professionals. Students will take part in a rehearsal process and will end the week with the final performance.
