Fundraising

Fundraising at Queen Ethelburga’s

Fundraising unites the whole of Team QE as students, staff and parents come together to support an important cause.

At the start of each academic year, everyone has the chance to vote for the six charities Queen Ethelburga’s will raise money for throughout the year. Staff and students then organise fundraising days through house events or whole school non-uniform days.

Supporting Worthy Causes

In addition to the six charities, there are annual events like the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, Christmas Jumper Day, Rotary Shoebox Scheme Appeal, Christmas Toy Collection and the Collegiate’s Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.

You can also organise or participate in raising money for various other charities. Past events have included large-scale Gala Dinners, bake sales, non-uniform days, Macmillan Coffee Morning, Easter eggs and Valentine rose gifting.

Be Involved in the Charity Committee

The Charity Committee is a dedicated group of student volunteers who work as Charity Leaders for the school. If you choose to join The Charity Committee, you will meet weekly after school to discuss, plan and implement fundraising and service initiatives.
